RelaxingSelf Care and Being a professional

As a YoPro it is very easy to fill up your schedule with meetings, volunteering, and various events. This summer I challenge you to make time for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation.

This could include a staycation, vacation, or just sleeping in on the weekend.
Don’t be afraid to say no to the tenth social event you have by Wednesday morning or to make time to read that book that has been sitting on your desk all year.

It is important that self-care is a priority. There are a million ways to practice self-care and it looks and feels different for everyone.

Find your method and stick to it. “You can’t pour from an empty cup” so remember to refill from time to time.

Rest

Sleep, uninterrupted with no alarm and no priorities. Schedule it if you have to but make it happen.

Relaxation

Spa day! Veg and video game it out. Take naps. Netflix and chill. Do whatever it is that you enjoy that calms you.

Take that workout class that you’ve been curious about. Learn something new. Make time for that friend you never get to see. Organize that office that you want to remodel. Find your zen!
