Christina Gockley
Community Manager at American Cancer Society

I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri, born & raised. I graduated in 2012 from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri with a degree in fashion design and a minor in journalism. While there I became involved with the American Cancer Society as a volunteer for Relay For Life. Through that, I discovered my true calling was in helping others, especially those whose lives have been impacted by cancer.  Upon moving to North Texas with my husband after graduation, I worked as an administrative assistant in fundraising events and area bookkeeper for the organization before accepting my current position as Community Manager in 2015.  As a Community Manger, I work with volunteers in communities across North Texas – including Denton, Lewisville & Flower Mound, and Carrollton & The Colony in Denton County, Hood County and Somervell County – to help raise funds to support our mission through our Relay For Life events. I take pride in working for an organization that is nationally known for its mission but even more so in helping our cancer survivors and getting to know each one I have the privilege to meet.  In my free time I enjoy playing golf (even though I am not good at it), visiting local breweries, catching a game of baseball and exploring all that Texas has to offer with my best friend and husband. We recently settled into a home in Flower Mound and don’t plan on moving back to Missouri for a very long time.  In the interest of full disclosure, I am a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan and won’t hesitate to tell you how great my team really is! Sorry Rangers fans!
